Day 30+3 27/5: Still Hangning around in Santiago de Compostela
[Note 15:31 ]
A few hours more in Santiago. I have found a quiet corner in my'prefered café'
to round off the last days experiences.
This is here I've found a perfect internetconnection. Here I sat yesterday updating
and tried to get contact to my three friends from Kansas.
Sitting for an hour, I was about to leave and who was passing by: Nick and Kenn.
Together we went to the Cathedral Square and to the mass i San Fransisco
Made an appointment to meet at 16 and with Samer. Samer I 'found'
just before meeting - a wrong place.

This morning I wanted just to do a few practical things as having my bordingpass
printed at the pilgrimsoffice. They do not have internet, so I walked to my 'prefered
café (outside) to catch the net. Would just beat the road past the Cathedral square
in a gigantic weak hope to meet Don from earlier on the camino.
Looking after his blue hat and blue jacket.
Just saw something bluealike disappear down the stair toward the pilgrimoffice.
But did not have the time for following.
After printing my boardingcard (more than an hour later) I went to the pilgrimsoffice
hoping to find 'this blue man'.
After having been running all along the cue and about leaving the place Kenn suddenly
appeared and Nick with the pilgrim diploma. And just after Don followed. It really was him.
An amazing coincidence. Saw him shortly before walking in there and Yoki on the cathedral square.

Had to go to accomodation to get packed. Wanted to visit the pilgrimmuseum,
which af course was closed on mondays.
Well anyway I succeded in reaching the cathedral, or a part of it.
It's under restoration and almost evrything covered up. Saw
Jacobs (allerged) tomb and embrased - as custom demands - a statue
in the cathedral => the journey fullfilled.
Went back to my 'prefered café' to end up 'granddads Camino'
but now Nick and Kenn had setteled here - it was here we remet...
Met later Donna and her daughter Christine ( as I remember)
from New Zeeland.

Goodbye beatiful Santiago (for this time).
So I just reached a round of bachalau - well ok but I prefer
codfish the danish way.
Said hello to a few more pilgrims on my way and Joyce from philiphines -
now Gotland, which for a long time has been on my wish list (Gotland I mean (of course))
Seem to get closer?
Well guess it's time for checkin.
Bullshit: I forgot my highly beloved perfect an beautiful walking pole.
In the bus to airport or in the airport. Well anyway I would not have been alloved to bring it in
the Plane? Thank you for true and close followship through more than 30 days since JSPDP.
I'm so proud of you - will always remember you for best support. I cannot complain my stumbeling over you -
all my fault - I really do hope you're now come in good hands.
Best pole ever.
